Silence is a technical feature
The replacement removed three quarters of the motion and kept only thin cyan frames around live decisions: burn window, pressure drift, comms lock. Operators stopped hunting the brightest square and started reading the instrument stack from left to right.
A cockpit display earns trust by reserving amber for the moment that matters. Everything else should sit in the black field as measured geometry: available, legible, and quiet until the system actually needs a hand.
