What the loom remembers
◊
Every thread has a season
We shear in May, spin through autumn, and begin weaving only when the ground freezes.
▴
Four shades of undyed wool
Our Estonian sheep give us cream, grey, brown, and near-black — no dyes needed for the warp.
✶
Patterns passed hand to hand
Each motif woven into our tapestries carries at least three generations of weavers’ knowledge.
●
A piece lives longer than its maker
Our oldest surviving Kangas wall-hanging has kept a farmhouse warm in spirit since 1897.
