CHAPTER 02 · VISUAL LANGUAGE 03 / 12

What cinema remembers

1

The frame is a question

Every composition asks the eye where to settle. We compose answers with light and shadow, not decoration.

2

Light before color

Monochrome exposes structure that saturation conceals. The image begins in contrast, not in hue.

3

Grain is a signature

Imperfection carries the maker's mark. A digital surface leaves no fingerprint, no history, no hand.

4

The cut is the argument

What happens between images is where meaning settles. Editing rewrites time, one frame at a time.
