The Myth of the Overnight Rebrand
Six months, forty-seven dead-end concepts, and the Monday morning everything finally clicked — a studio's account of identity work that moves slower than clients expect.
In November 2014, a fintech startup from Palermo hired us to redesign their entire visual identity. They gave us three weeks. We told them six months, minimum, and watched the silence stretch across the conference table like a line rule through bad typesetting. The project launched in May 2015, but the work that mattered — the part where the system actually survives contact with real people — didn't resolve until the following September.
"Clients hire us for the deliverable, but the point is grammar that outlives any single use."
