In 1968, a London drawing table decided that a screen did not need to behave like a window. The team built a world from ink contours and flat pigment, where a yellow vessel could cross a green sea without asking permission.

Flat color is a form of freedom

Remove the gradient, keep the outline, and every object becomes a vote: cyan against violet, orange beside magenta, a bright field insisting that the ordinary can be remixed. The result feels less like decoration than a dare.
