The Discipline of the Processional Way
A city earns its grandeur not through spectacle, but through the exacting repetition that makes a public promise visible.
At dawn, the first kiln crew checks every brick against the ledger. A shallow seam, a cloudy edge, a gold rosette set half a finger too high—each is returned to the fire before it reaches the Processional Way. Ceremony begins long before the crowd arrives.
